Lawn Care Technician

The Role
Apply the Healthy Lawn fertilization and weed-control program on residential and commercial properties across Central Ohio.
$19–$26 per hour, based on experience and license
Lawn care technicians run the Healthy Lawn program season after season. We look for people who calibrate equipment correctly, follow the product label, and can tell the client what they applied and why.
What the Work Includes
- Run the Healthy Lawn program: five fertilization and weed-control applications per property each season
- Calibrate and operate spreader and sprayer equipment for accurate application rates
- Identify turf issues: weeds, disease, insect damage, and soil conditions
- Follow label directions and site-specific application notes on every stop
- Communicate clearly with the office and the client on site about lawn condition and treatment
- Keep the service vehicle and equipment stocked, calibrated, and ready for the next stop
What It Takes
- Experience with lawn fertilization/herbicide application, or willingness to learn the program
- Valid driver's license
- Able to read and follow product labels and application instructions
- Comfortable working outside through the fertilization season
Helps, Not Required
- Ohio pesticide applicator license
- Plant/turf knowledge or an interest in learning it
- Spanish/English bilingual
