Project Narrative

How this project comes together

What the site needed

The roof, columns, stone fireplace, seating, and surrounding walks form one outdoor room tied back to the house.

How the build answers it

The structure gives the property a covered destination, while the paver walk, low stone edges, planting, and open sides keep it tied to the rest of the landscape.

Location: Dublin, OH
Division: Residential Design & Build
Focus: Covered Pavilion & Fireplace
Project Type: Covered outdoor structure, masonry fireplace, and garden connection

Scope

Roofed outdoor pavilion
Masonry fireplace and chimney
Stone wall and column-base details
Covered seating area
Paver walk and patio connections
Planting around structure and paths

Design Notes

The roof gives the room scale and shade, while the open sides preserve views into the yard.
Stone bases and the fireplace wall anchor the structure so the white columns do not feel visually light or disconnected.
The paver walk brings people into the room gradually instead of dropping the structure directly into the lawn.
Planting at the edges softens the masonry and helps the pavilion settle into the surrounding garden.
